Some stories begin with a single stitch. Ours began in the 1970s, in the hands of a family who believed that leather was not just a material — it was a language.

A Legacy Rooted in Leather

For over five decades, our family has been immersed in the world of leather craftsmanship. What started as a deep passion for quality materials and meticulous handiwork grew into a generational commitment — a belief that every piece created should outlast trends and tell a story worth wearing.

That legacy is the heartbeat of 27 Design House. It is not something we inherited passively; it is something we chose to carry forward, refine, and elevate.

Milan: Where Heritage Meets Design

To honour that heritage and push it further, our Creative Director pursued formal training in shoe and bag design in Milan — the global capital of luxury footwear and leather goods. Studying in Milan meant learning from the best: understanding the architecture of a shoe, the behaviour of different leathers, the geometry of a last, and the philosophy that separates a well-made shoe from a truly exceptional one.

Milan gave us the vocabulary. Egypt gave us the soul.

Handcrafted in Egypt, by Skilled Hands

Every pair of 27 Design House shoes is handcrafted in Egypt by skilled artisans who have spent years — often decades — perfecting their craft. These are not factory floors. These are workshops where attention to detail is not a quality standard; it is a way of life.

From cutting and lasting to stitching and finishing, each step is carried out by hand. The result is footwear that fits differently, feels differently, and lasts differently — because it was made differently.
